Vauxhall Astra Car Insurance for New Astra Sports Tourer

Vauxhall have announced that the new Astra Sports Tourer will be available in the UK later this year with a price tag starting from £16575, more than less than the current Astra entry model the Astra Estate.

Built in Luton the Astra Sports Tourer range starts with a 1.4 ES model and the diesel models are equally as well priced with the entry level Astra 110PS 1.7 CDTi Sports Tourer costing less than the 90Ps 1.3 old Astra model, yet with more power under the bonnet and benefiting from 120k/km CO2 emissions.

The new Astra Sports Tourer has airbags, air-conditioning, electronic stability control, electronic parking brakes and front safety head restraints all coming as standard which have reduced it’s Thatcham insurance group rating. Astra’s are now rated from group 4 to group 15 for the high performance models.

The Astra Sports Tourer Premium is a real performance car and the new high end models will probably account for about one tenth of Vauxhall’s Astra sales this year.
